Project aim:
BrainBridges objective is to develop a coordinated European research programme in the area of collaborative working environments and the supporting technologies. This is to be done by bringing together national research funding organisations, key research organisations and key industry to define and develop such a coordinated programme.

BrainBridges will build and deliver:
A sustainable community of organisations that exchanges plans and information on the topic supported by a public IST research portal. Leverage available scientific excellence and industry relevance. A common basis for policymaking and forming coordinated programmes. A coordinated European research programme on Collaborative Working Environments.
By uniting a critical mass of key regional and national funding organisations, research and industry players, (decision makers) BrainBridges assures its ability to develop a truly pan-European ERA pilot for Collaborative Working Environments (CWE) . By systematically gathering and analysing knowledge on a regional, national and European level, regarding the current structure of CWE research funding as well as multidisciplinary CWE research issues.
