08 April 2005:  FP7 Information Service Launched on Cordis

New information service launched on Cordis to provide information and follow developments in the FP7 adoption process

Following the European Commission's proposal of 6 April 2005 for the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), CORDIS launched a new information service - entitled Towards FP7 - to provide up-to-date information on the latest developments on the road to the adoption of the new Framework Programme.

The new information service offers visitors an introduction to FP7, a central access point to legislative and official documents, and links with CORDIS news to provide an extensive collection of FP7 news articles and related events. Its sections outline the foreseen FP7 structure, and present the thematic areas proposed by the European Commission, along with the indicative FP7 budget breakdown.

Furthermore, the service lays out the roadmap of the process leading to the adoption and launch of FP7, and provides insight into the political debate surrounding FP7 developments, welcoming further input - such as position papers, recommendations and contributions - from stakeholders wishing to participate and express their opinions.
